Two ways to send a check

Print it yourself, or let us handle it

Use your own printer and blank check stock, or send checks through our mailing service. Works the same for one check or a full batch.

Print on Any Printer

Works with any laser or inkjet printer you already own. No special hardware or MICR toner required.

Bulk Payment Runs

Upload a spreadsheet of payees and amounts, review the batch, and print or mail it in one pass.

Check Mailing

Don’t want to print and mail it yourself? Send it through USPS First Class from $1.25 per check, or upgrade to FedEx Overnight for next-day delivery. No subscription required.

Custom Check Design

Add your logo and business details with a drag-and-drop check designer, then reuse it for every run.

Built for volume

Up to 25 payees in one batch, reviewed before anything sends

Weekly vendor payments, payroll runs, or one-off rebates: batch up to 25 payees together instead of writing checks one by one. Need more than 25? Run a second batch right after.

  • Or connect QuickBooks, Xero, or Zoho Books instead of uploading a file
  • Review the full batch before anything prints or mails

FAQ

Check printing and mailing, answered

Printing

Do I need a special printer?
No. Checks print on any standard laser or inkjet printer you already own.
Do I need MICR toner?
No special MICR toner is required. The MICR line is generated as part of the check design and prints with any standard toner or ink. Banks have processed checks as images since the Check 21 Act, which is why standard printer ink works instead of magnetic ink.
Can I print a batch of checks at once?
Yes, up to 25 payees per batch. Upload the payees and amounts, review the batch, and print the whole run, including payroll checks. Need more than 25? Run a second batch right after.

Mailing

How does check mailing pricing work?
You pay per check mailed. USPS First Class is $1.25, First Class with tracking is $8.10, Priority Mail is $17.54, Express Mail is $37.79, Certified Mail is $9.99, and FedEx Overnight is $24.99. There is no subscription fee.
Can I mail a whole batch at once?
Yes. Once a batch is reviewed and approved, it can be sent to mailing as a group instead of one check at a time.
Can I mix printed and mailed checks in the same batch?
Yes. You can print some checks yourself and have others mailed, depending on what each payee needs.
Can I stop or verify a check before it’s cashed?
Checks printed or mailed through OnlineCheckWriter work with your bank’s standard stop-payment and positive pay processes, the same as any check you’d write by hand.

Design & Account

Can I add my logo to checks?
Yes, using the drag-and-drop check designer. It carries through to every check in a batch.
Is there a limit on how many checks I can print?
No. Checks are unlimited from your account.
